About the job

This position is needed to design, implement, and support innovative solutions built on Twilio that will drive our growth and customer adoption in specialized industries

Twilio’s Product Growth and Experience team is tasked with enabling Twilio customers to build world-class communication and engagement solutions on Twilio’s platform. This role will be a key contributor to a growing team assigned to spearhead Twilio’s growth in specialized industry verticals. The position is a tremendous opportunity to grow both technically as well as professionally.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Design, implement, and support full-stack serverless technical solutions leveraging Twilio products and services in collaboration with the technical architect
  • Own the design and implementation of infrastructure for delivery of industry targeted solution development in line with business needs and in collaboration with the technical architect
  • Technically mentor & help junior technical members on design & implementation of the solutions
  • Own the software development life cycle by closely collaborating with development members and partners as well as product managers & business partners.
  • Produce technical documentation & presentations for developed solutions, technical proof-of-concepts, technical evaluations, etc.

Required:

  • 8+ years of commercial experience in developing, deploying, & maintaining full-stack commercial software into production. Graduate degrees in relevant disciplines can be considered in part as experience.
  • Experience in setting up integration/deployment infrastructure from scratch is a must
  • Experience with developing using NodeJS ecosystem including solid knowledge of asynchronous programming
  • Experience in Docker-based development and serverless technologies such as AWS lambda functions
  • Experience with security authentication & authorization, including implementation of SSO
  • Experience with front-end web development using HTML/CSS/Javascript, including DOM manipulation
  • Experience with testing frameworks/harnesses such as Jest
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering on schedule with quality
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, concepts, and issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related disciplines

Desired:

  • Experience developing using ReactJS library
  • Experience developing full serverless applications on AWS cloud platform

Location

This role will be remote, based in the USA. Minimal travel (a few times per year) is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is 160,080 - 200,100
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
