Sr. Manager, Strategic Planning

The Sr. Manager of Strategic Planning is responsible for all fiscal year planning for the Segment GTM Sales Organization. This role falls under the Segment Revenue Operations Team, within Sales Strategy and is crucial for the success and scalability of our Go-to-Market efforts. This includes ownership of all sales territories, sales quotas requiring close partnership with the Sales Compensation, Finance, Sales Strategy and Sales Leadership teams. This role will also own any additional critical initiatives including (but not limited to) account scoring and re-segmentation, external vendor evaluation and deployment of software related to support strategic planning, sales organization and headcount planning design, sales compensation plan design and support.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage a territory analyst
  • Own all components related to sales territories including: modeling, analysis, carving, deploying and managing territories within Salesforce
  • Own all components of sales quotas including: designing, modeling and partnering closely with Finance to develop a top-down and bottom-up analysis from the Financial plan to effectively deploy all sales quotas from the AE up through CRO
  • Work cross-functionally with many teams including: Sales Strategy, Sales Analytics, Sales Leadership, Sales Systems, Finance, Sales Compensation
  • Owning additional strategic projects and planning initiatives as needed by the Segment Sales Strategy and GTM team including but not limited to (support with organizational design, headcount planning, etc.)

Required:

  • 4+ years relevant experience within Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Strategic Planning, ideally within a SaaS organization
  • Experience building and deploying a fiscal year quota plan and territory plan to a global sales organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting data & insights to a sophisticated audience
  • Strong collaboration and partner management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships cross functional teams
  • Experience working closely and communicating effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders in a constantly evolving, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines
  • Experience building and scaling a team
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

Desired:

  • A self-starter who will identify potential areas to improve all fiscal year planning cadences
  • Experience in project management

Location

This role will be remotely based in the U.S.

Approximately 5% of travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is 132,320.00-165,400.00
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
