We are looking for a Solutions Architect to help customers transform and innovate their business through the use of Aiven's managed open source services. As part of a rapidly growing team, you will help shape the future of businesses by using technology to connect with their customers. In this role, you will address security and compliance challenges during engagements with customers and partner with internal stakeholders to improve products and build solutions.

Suitable candidates must have demonstrable experience in the following areas that will be required in their day-to-day job: CISSP, cloud native security e.g. SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Any experience with US compliance, e.g. PCI-DSS and HIPAA, will be considered an asset!

Requirements

What You'll Be Doing;

  • Helping customers succeed with desired security posture, including networking, standards, and compliance
  • Experience working in/with Security and Compliance team to meet customer requirements and timelines
  • Understand customers’ technical requirements on an architectural level and propose solutions using Aiven’s services
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in an approachable way and at a correct technical level for the audience
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Aiven service offerings
  • Facilitate and streamline security questionnaires and pre-sales security audit process
  • Be an active contributor during the sales process
  • Travel up to 10% of the time (post-Covid)
  • Implement proof of concept solutions as needed, to interface with Aiven environments in order to address business requirements, e.g. VPC peering, and service ACL’s

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar discipline) or, an equivalent amount of professional experience in software engineering
  • Knowledgeable of public clouds (AWS, Google or Azure) and in the areas of compute, storage - block and object, networking, and security groups
  • A deep conceptual understanding of cloud networking and security best practices
  • Linux operating system, demonstrable experience using various Linux utilities and tools (installation, securing system, storage, etc.) and a good grasp of networking basics like DNS
  • Exposure to one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go or Ruby
  • Previous experience answering questionnaires and completing security assessments

The following are nice to have:

  • CISSP Certification
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISA, CISM, CCSK, CCSP, OSCP, CRISC
  • Experience addressing CIO and CISO concerns about security and compliance risks.
  • Experience in performing technical presentations or public speaking.
  • Ability to form deep technical relationships with customers' technical staff
