The Technical Architect is both a technical story crafter and an automation engineer, supporting specific customer engagements as well as the broader Field Services team. When working directly with a customer they turn unique requirements into compelling demonstrations of the GitHub platform. They act as a force multiplier for the broader Field Services team by turning industry and technology-specific use cases into compelling, reusable technical demonstrations.
The technical architect is a continuous learner who enjoys staying up to date on the latest technologies and processes aimed at improving the developer experience.
While they will help GitHub build trust with customers by demonstrating GitHub’s dedication to customer success, they will not be directly involved in sales/technical strategy or the selling process itself. Their involvement will be more time-bound and problem specific. They will be hands-off-keyboard but will instead move requirements to resolution via technical examples, demos, proof of concepts and education.
