We are looking for an Analytics & Data Engineer to continue to build Elevate data products to support clients with Supply Chain Operations and build data products for Summit Analytics customers. We are a small, specialized, and nimble team that are motivated to create actionable data products this role will be critical to the future success supporting our customers. The ideal candidate excels at understanding the business value of data applications while also has a deep understanding of data infrastructure and engineering to create reliable and scalable products. This role will partner closely with Product, Program Management, and the other members of the Analytics team.
What you will do:
o Help administrator and own the data infrastructure of Elevate, including Google Cloud Platform environment, all integrations, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, GCP)
o Develop integrations from production applications into BigQuery / Snowflake
o Develop scalable / repeatable data models with SQL / DBT
o Build and manage networking infrastructure for Elevate, inclusive but not limited to site-to-site VPNs to establish integrations to client’s on-prem data sources
o Write and maintain documentation of technical architecture
o Help with security related efforts, inclusive of IAM access rights, managing service accounts, and implement solutions as needed. Assist with SOC2 Type-2 compliance reviews
o Create new Looker models and blocks for Elevate modules
Help with end-to-end development efforts for Summit Analytics consulting engagements
About you:
o Minimum 2+ years data engineering / infrastructure experience
o. Proficient in SQL and Python
o Experience with Looker, DBT, and cloud warehouse technologies
o o Experience with OMS, ERP, WMS systems a plus
o Experience with Parcel APIs, Parcel Financial Data and EDI feeds a plus
o Effective problem-solving skills and a desire to solve business challenges with data
o Ability to communicate effectively to multiple key stakeholders.
o Cloud security & networking experience preferred
