We are looking for a Salesforce-certified Business Analyst with experience working across ideally Mulesoft and either Salesforce Service Cloud or Salesforce OMS but strong candidates with experience in one of these and a willingness to learn the others will also be considered.
This role will be expected to quickly ramp up to different clients and projects and will be likely to work on multiple part-time projects at once at different points throughout their role. It is key for the prospective person in this role to have a strong understanding of Salesforce solutions and how Salesforce can be used to solve our clients’ problems. The role will need to build a strong working relationship with clients, understanding their objectives and business processes and acting as their advocate to ensure the right solution is built and delivered. Summit is very focused on delivering value and this role will be key to helping our clients improve business processes and efficiency using Salesforce technologies.
The specifics of the role will vary by engagement and may range from acting in a staff augmentation capacity to extend the client’s business analysis / product management practice to ensuring the correct business requirements and processes are captured for a new Salesforce implementation, to troubleshooting and designing solutions for an existing implementation and may involve assisting with Salesforce administration activities at times.
The primary measures of success for this role will be related to client satisfaction based on meeting their needs and objectives as well as completeness and accuracy of documentation. The prospective person in this role will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and will be able to demonstrate their understanding of client needs through that communication.
This role is very heavy on consulting, providing the best solutions for a given client and helping them achieve success. The ideal candidate will work closely with the customer’s team and with Summit Advisory Team co-workers to benefit from shared knowledge and share any project learnings.
Location: This role is primarily remote, with some in-person meetings for client workshops/site visits at key points of the project but this is not anticipated to be more than 20% of time. Office space will be provided for in-person collaboration.
What you will do:
o Deeply understand the client's business objectives and needs within the engagement. o Ensure these are well-documented and understood by all team members and stakeholders and that teams hold true to these throughout the engagement. If goals or objectives change, ensure that this is clearly documented and understood so work can be reset if needed.
o Lead facilitation sessions, interviewing stakeholders at all levels within the client’s organization and conducting working sessions and/or observational studies as appropriate to assess current state and gaps. Ensure findings are clearly documented.
o Analyze current processes, requirements and findings; identifying the needs of the client to solve their current set of problems and/or objectives and seeking feedback throughout as appropriate.
o Work with team members to identify and assess solution options, articulating trade-offs, needs for change management and/or similar throughout this process. Clearly document decisions made and work with the teams to ensure these are implemented in line with business needs including potential participation in or guiding of test efforts as needed.
o Ensure success criteria are agreed in advance of the implementation and ways that these can be measured are built into the program to ensure value can be appropriately assessed and actions taken should issues be identified.
About you:
o Must enjoy helping customers solve problems.
o Must have 5+ years of experience working with business and technical stakeholders, ideally in a consulting environment.
p Must have 3+ years experience solving problems with Salesforce technologies including at least one (and ideally two of) Mulesoft, Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Salesforce OMS.
o Salesforce certification either as a Business Analyst or Consultant required.
o Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
o Able to document clear business & functional requirements, business processes (both current and future) and technical flows.
o Experience working with any other integration, order management, eCommerce or warehouse management platform is a huge plus.
o Experience in Supply Chain, eCommerce, and or OmniChannel Retail in a B2B or B2C setting is highly desirable.
o A proven record of building relationships with effective communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Experience with data analytics and reporting is a plus.
o A Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field highly regarded.
