Product Manager - TLS

This role will manage the end-to-end product lifecycle of Fastly’s TLS and certificate offerings, ensuring Fastly’s platform remains modern, secure and trusted by our customers. You will work directly with engineering, customer support, marketing and sales to create and drive a crisp roadmap for the product.

This role is on the Fastly’s Network Services team which collaborates with teams throughout the company to build and expand the Fastly’s global network services, ensuring they are positioned to scale rapidly in both capacity and capabilities for all of our product lines and customers.

What You'll Do

  • Define and deliver a compelling roadmap that will meet our customer’s unmet and underserved needs for Fastly’s TLS and certificate products.
  • Define and drive a clear, prioritized backlog. Capture, author, and prioritize requirements in a form accessible to the engineering team.
  • Share cross-team context, own the customer journey, and track success against clear business metrics.
  • Define and drive product vision and strategy and work broadly across multiple teams to build consensus using a combination of research and storytelling.
  • Anticipate long range issues and work proactively with internal teams to maximize the value of our products to our customers.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of five years of Product Management experience working on security products at a software company
  • Deep customer empathy with demonstrated experience in customer journey mapping and storyboarding
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience
  • Focused organization skills with acute attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision
  • You are proactive, have a get-stuff-done demeanor, positive energy, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with X.509, PKI, TLS, ACME and other certificate authorities’ technologies, processes and business models, data privacy & data protection, web and network security or related areas is highly desirable.

  • Experience with web technologies, content delivery, and cloud network services and architecture is a plus
  • Comfortable with developing multiple pricing and business models including usage based, subscription, and transactional models
  • Experience with guiding and shaping long term vendor agreements working with business development and strategic partnerships
  • Deep understanding and passion for creating and evolving network security user interfaces

In accordance with applicable law, Fastly’s minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is 113,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fastly's equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations. Note that this role is available to candidates outside of Colorado and different minimum compensation may apply.
