Principal Product Manager

Commerce is one of GoDaddys top initiatives, so youll contribute to a growing team and product suite. Youll work closely with teammates on the platform, care, design, and engineering teams to improve commerce experiences using WordPress. Our customers are business owners and store operators, so its important to create experiences that help them sell more and streamline their businesses. Youll be responsible for collaboratively crafting product vision, prioritizing roadmap and improvements, and proposing solutions to user problems.

Youll join an existing team of product managers and designers passionate about ecommerce experiences, and will enrich features across the merchant journey and customer segments. We also expect that youre great at documenting your work as a remote-first, 100% distributed team, great communication and internal artifacts are vital to our success.

What you'll get to do...

  • Helping to create a product vision and strategy that establishes a differentiated position for our targeted user personas.
  • Identifying and involving appropriate partners especially the end user in product and design decisions.
  • Clearly identifying user problems from a first principles' approach, and prioritizing solutions to those problems, in alignment with our product vision.
  • Collaborating with UX and other PMs on product improvements that address customer, team, and company needs.
  • Driving major product initiatives to great outcomes that involve multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Using quantitative and qualitative sources of feedback to become the voice of the customer.
  • Providing detailed feedback to product and UX teammates, becoming a force multiplier and quality standard-bearer for the team.
  • Ensuring that product updates meet acceptance criteria and our definition of done.

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years in product management
  • WordPress / WooCommerce or other eCommerce experience (particularly with other platforms like Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce)
  • Balancing multiple dependencies or stakeholders to see a project through to completion
  • Consistent demonstration of your understanding & skills for UX and product management standard methodologies & strategies
  • Expert at understanding the difference between user needs and requests
  • Thorough & curious, with an aim to understand and tackle challenges for users in a clean, simple, and streamlined way
  • Dedicated to constant learning and sharing your knowledge

You might also have...

  • Experience with product design tools like Whimsical, Figma, Balsamiq, or others
  • Development or technical product management experience
  • Experience working with an Agile development team
