Principal Enterprise Security Engineer

The Principal Entsec Engineer will be responsible for the maturing of the Enterprise Security team. This team has seen some significant growth, and we are looking for an experienced member to help bring us to the next level. The Principal Entsec Engineer will help streamline processes, tooling, and provide mentorship to more junior members.


In this role, you’ll:

  • Work to mature/improve the team’s overall processes and response/detection capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship to the junior members, bringing them up to speed swiftly.
  • Overhaul our documentation repositories, as well as provide guidance on improvements.
  • Provide expertise during architecture/planning committee meetings.
  • Further improve relationships within, and outside of the organization.

  • 10+ years experience in developing and maturing security teams.
  • 8-10 years experience in implementing and improving security platforms.
  • Capable domain expert on security issues and technologies
  • 8 years experience working with endpoint security and detection platforms


  • Appropriate certifications


This role will be

Approximately <10%> travel is anticipated.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is 176,000 - 220,000
  • Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
