Job Description

WDC is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer with excellent analytical and technical skills for the design of next generation Storage Networking ASICs.

Responsibilities:

  • ASIC Design Micro-architecture & Documentation
  • RTL Coding
  • RTL Verification
  • Debugging (e.g. PCIe, Network Protocol and Logic Analyzers)
  • Scripting
  • Synthesis, static timing
  • Test plan documentation

Qualifications

  • 10 or more years’ experience in design, implementation and verification of storage and/or networking ASICs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong FPGA platform development and testing experience
  • Proficiency with Verilog & System Verilog RTL coding
  • Proficiency with low power digital design techniques
  • Proficiency with synthesis and static timing
  • Strong protocol knowledge in one or more of the following areas
    • TCP/IP, SCSI, FibreChannel, NVMe, NVMe over Fabrics,Ethernet, SAS, SATA, RDMA protocols, Security (IPSec/TLS/DTLS) & PCIe
  • Problem solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Team-Player, can-do attitude and will work well in a group environment while still being able to contribute on an individual basis.
