Global Vice President, Talent Acquisition

There has never been a better time to join Aiven’s People team as the company scales to new heights! We will grow from 300 to over 700 employees in the next 12 months and are now looking for a Global VP of Talent Acquisition to bring our talent strategy to the next level.

In this role you will partner with leadership to execute the annual hiring plan, grow Aiven’s visibility and reputation globally and within the tech industry, and lead and inspire an awesome team of talent acquisition professionals. Reaching quarterly and annual hiring goals is key to success in this role! The successful leader will be strategic, results-oriented and data-driven.

Reporting into the VP of People and part of the People Leadership team, you’re part of the passionate, diverse, and fun People Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute the global talent acquisition strategy to take us from currently 300 employees to over 700 and beyond and thus meet our growth plans through building scalable, robust and dynamic recruiting processes
  • Leading, scaling and continuing to build our talent acquisition team responsible for finding the world’s best and diverse talent
  • Establish and measure key talent acquisition metrics to ensure widespread internal stakeholder understanding of our recruiting operations efficiency and effectiveness and deliver insights to enable future talent strategy evolution
  • Lead all headcount planning and advise our leadership team on hiring strategies in alignment with growth expectations
  • Champion a culture of constant improvement, identifying, and implementing projects that increase recruiting effectiveness and efficiency locally and globally
  • Collaborate and partner with Aiven’s broader people teams and business leadership to understand and proactively address key concerns in attracting, motivating, and retaining high quality, diverse talent
  • Stay on top of new trends in the talent acquisition space, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting practices and insights
  • Strengthen the brand of the Talent Acquisition team by continuously delivering on expectations, and communicating successes and wins throughout the organization
  • Pursue a highly metrics-driven approach for goal-setting, capacity planning, and forecasting
  • Drive our Talent Acquisition diversity & inclusion journey from the very first touchpoint so as to ensure that Aiven attracts and finds the best talent around the globe

Requirements

  • 10+ years of international talent acquisition leadership experience, from strategy to operational execution, ideally in a rapidly growing tech organisation
  • A track-record of having successfully created and implemented a global hiring strategy for scaleups, rooted in a deep knowledge of the practices, needs, and specific challenges of tech recruiting in SaaS companies
  • An advanced reporting skill set: the ability to collect, analyze, and produce dashboard metrics for our leadership teams and hiring managers, to provide real time updates of the impact of your work, and to illustrate how the recruitment department is performing globally
  • Operations experience mindset: ability to standardize, evolve as well as mature our recruitment processes and internal hiring practices
  • Proven track record of successful performance in a fast paced and evolving environment
  • Strong understanding of measuring performance through data with the ability to tell a rich story with it
  • Strong organisational skills and high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and partnering skills
