This role includes: identifying potential issues with our website and finding solutions to those problems, creating mockups and coding your designs on our website and landing pages, tracking web conversions, A/B testing, and communicating our brand and messaging to web visitors.

Web Designers who focus on conversion analysis at Patriot Software have a lot of creative freedom to implement and test bold ideas. You’ll be asked to develop and execute our CRO (conversion rate optimization) process to improve the usability, clarity, and success of Patriot Software’s public website and landing pages.

The Ideal Candidate Has:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Web Development, or 3+ years experience.
  • Experience building in-browser designs using HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with A/B testing.
  • Knowledge of fundamental design principles.
  • Creativity and implementation skills to take a project from conception to completion.
  • A strong portfolio of work or ability to demonstrate learned skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • A passion for design and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A sense of urgency and the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience using WordPress.
  • Knowledge of SEO and the elements that make a page rank.
  • Experience using Google Analytics and similar tools like Kissmetrics and Unbounce, Visual Website Optimizer or Mouseflow, or other tracking software to analyze user activity.
  • Working knowledge of PPC & how landing pages affect Quality Score and conversions.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and goals.

Here's what you'll be doing

The Web Designer / Conversion Analyst will:

  • Learn and develop Patriot Software’s CRO process and testing strategy.
  • Create mockups of your design ideas to communicate your vision to Patriot Software’s marketing team.
  • Run A/B tests on Patriot Software’s public website and landing pages to improve both engagement and conversion rates.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to develop and implement Patriot Software’s PPC advertising strategies.
  • Track and report user activity and conversion rates.
  • Identify friction on the public website and landing pages to optimize conversions.
  • Set monthly conversion goals and create an actionable plan to hit your numbers.
